AJ Lee’s Return: Wrestling’s Harley Quinn is Back in Gotham
When AJ Lee walked through the curtain on SmackDown, the reaction wasn’t just nostalgia … it was electricity. For years, fans have whispered her name, debated her influence, and compared every new generation of women’s wrestlers to the standard she set more than a decade ago. On this night, those whispers turned into a roar.
Let’s be clear: AJ Lee was never just another performer. She was chaos wrapped in brilliance - a Harley Quinn of the wrestling world. To allow the “Black Widow” to step back into WWE’s spotlight feels less like a decision and more like unleashing Gotham’s most unpredictable anti-hero.
But here’s the twist: AJ Lee isn’t back as a tribute act. This isn’t a one-off cameo. She returned in arguably the best physical shape of her career. The look in her eyes and the bounce in her step told the story - she’s here with intent.
That intent became clear the moment Becky Lynch entered the picture. The Man may have thought she was settling a score with CM Punk, but AJ flipped the script. This wasn’t just about revenge for her husband - this was about staking her own claim in 2025.
And make no mistake: the women’s division of today owes much to AJ’s blueprint. She was 15 years ahead of her time, blending character, storytelling, and in-ring craft at a level few could touch. Now she’s back to prove she doesn’t just belong in this era - she may still define it.
If SmackDown was chapter one, then the rest of 2025 will be the book where AJ Lee writes her legacy all over again. And if history tells us anything, it’s that once AJ spins her web … the entire division is in danger of getting caught.

📺 Saturday Mornings Just Got Extreme!
Hulk Hogan’s Rock ’n’ Wrestling has officially returned. The first batch of episodes landed Saturday, September 6, and WWE Vault will keep rolling out four more every Saturday morning.

Source: IMDB
The cartoon originally aired on CBS from 1985 to 1986 and featured animated versions of Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, André the Giant, The Iron Sheik, Wendi Richter, Junkyard Dog, and more. None of the wrestlers voiced themselves - Hogan’s voice was famously provided by Brad Garrett, long before his Everybody Loves Raymond fame.
This revival comes just weeks after Hogan’s passing at 71, making it both a nostalgic throwback and a timely tribute to his pop culture run.
WWE Vault has quickly become a hit with fans since its 2024 launch, already pulling in nearly 3 million subscribers. Adding Rock ’n’ Wrestling is another reminder that wrestling history is as entertaining in cartoon form as it was in the ring.
Fire up your cereal and get ready. Saturday mornings are about to feel like 1985 all over again.
